
This trestle
table was made for a computer but can also be used as a desk or a serving table
in the dining room.
It was made from
native cherry. The horizontal support was fastened to the legs with
thru-mortise & tenon joinery with tapered square pegs securing the
tenons in place.
Although not
shown on this particular table, a sliding hardwood tray was added for a
computer keyboard for stowing it beneath the top when not in use.
Multiple coats of
an oil finish were rubbed in by hand followed by a beeswax and oil topcoat.
The dimensions of
this table are 46 ½”L by 22 ¾”D and 29 ½” in height.
